We are very proud to announce that we have won an award at the prestigious Building Communities Awards 2023.
Our partnership with Amber Valley Borough Council and Futures Housing Group won the collaboration award for work we carried out across Amber Valley.
The project saw energy efficiency measures such as high-quality insulation and solar PV in over 250 homes which were deemed to be inefficient. This helped to provide significant energy bill savings, along with reduced carbon emissions for hundreds of families.
The work also began during the covid pandemic, which provided an extra challenge as all work had to be carried out in a covid safe environment.
The scheme was made possible due to grant funding from the BEIS, and will be a big help during the ongoing cost of living crisis.
A word from our managing director Sean Stevenson on the win:
“It’s great to win this award, which recognises how organisations work together to overcome challenges to achieve a common end goal. However, the real win here is for residents in Ironville and Ripley. Participating households in Ironville should save on average £315 per year on their energy bills, while in Ripley, it is likely to be in the region of £540 per year. This will make a huge financial difference to them at a time when they need it most.
The overall success of this project is a real lesson in the benefits of private/public collaborative working, and I’m so pleased the judges recognised it.”
We’re thrilled to have picked up this award at a fantastic awards night and would like to thank everyone involved in the project from our own team, AVBC, and the Futures Housing Group.
Congratulations everyone!
